副院長：艾中信
艾中信,1915生,上海川沙县养正村人,1936年考入中央大学艺术系,1940年毕业后留校任教。1943年任中国美术学院副研究员。1946年至1949年任北平艺术专科学校副教授。1950年任中央美术学院教授，1954年起兼任油画系主任，1979年至1984年任副院长。1986年起任《中国大百科全书》总编辑委员会委员，为《中国大百科全书·美术卷》编委会主任。现任吴作人国际美术基金会理事长。他师从和追随徐悲鸿、吴作人等第一代油画大师，成为致力于绘画写实主义创作的一位传人，曾任中央美术学院油画系教授、油画系主任，副院长，中国美术家协会理事，《中国大百科全书美术》编辑委员会主任等职。2002年5月获“文化部”颁发的《造型艺术创作研究成就奖》。2003年巴月获中国文联与中国美术家协会联合颁发的《第2届中国美术金彩奖成就奖》。2003年12月28日在北京逝世，享年88岁。
Ai Zhongxin, born in 1915 in Yangzheng Village, Chuansha County, Shanghai, was admitted to the Art Department of Central University in 1936 and stayed on as a teacher after graduating in 1940. In 1943, he was appointed as an associate researcher at the China Academy of Art. From 1946 to 1949, he served as an associate professor at Beiping Art College. In 1950, he became a professor at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, and from 1954, he also served as the head of the Oil Painting Department. From 1979 to 1984, he served as the vice president. Since 1986, he has served as a member of the Editorial Committee of the Encyclopedia of China and as the Director of the Editorial Committee of the Art Volume of the Encyclopedia of China. The current Chairman of the Wu Zuoren International Art Foundation. He studied under and followed the first generation of oil painting masters such as Xu Beihong and Wu Zuoren, becoming a successor dedicated to realistic painting creation. He has served as a professor and director of the Oil Painting Department at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, vice dean, director of the China Artists Association, and director of the Editorial Committee of the Encyclopedia of Fine Arts in China. In May 2002, he was awarded the "Achievement Award for Creative Art Creation Research" by the Ministry of Culture. In 2003, Ba Yue was awarded the Achievement Award of the 2nd China Art Golden Color Award jointly by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the China Artists Association. He passed away on December 28, 2003 in Beijing at the age of 88.
